** Didn't do much Tuesday night. Felt good!!
Passed Hubby and the kids on the back road home (nails look fabulous, BTW). Called him on the cell phone to see where he was off to. Said he didn't even know he'd passed me, he and the kids were rockin out to the new Rush CD. (all covers, sound familiar....)
Oh, Hubby and the kids were off to see if Hubby could find a new hockey stick he's been saving for. No luck...

** I was tired, but I had to stay up and watch "Blow Out" on Bravo last night. Love that show, sooo catty - MEOW! Anybody else watch it and notice Brandon looks like Puck from the Real World - San Francisco, with a bad Elvis wig??

** Everybody around here is FREAKING OUT!! Because of the holiday we are suppose to have a ton of loans funding on Tuesday. I don't think it's going to be THAT bad. Hell, the way things are going this week, most of them will probably land on my desk because they're screwed up and need something fixed. I am so sick of typing "Issue resolved, file to funding" GRRRR!

** "Home again, home again, jiggidy jig - goooood-evening Sebastian..."(Sorry Blade Runner reference) But, I am going home....

** Road trip starts in 2 weeks and I've done nothing. Have to get the cats their shots before they go to the kennel. Have to actually get them booked at the kennel, now that I think about it. Car needs a tune-up. Need to make reservations at the hotel in Denver... Need to get my butt in gear I guess!

** After not much deliberation, I've decide to move the cats to Hubby's to do list. He's the one that caved when his baby girl begged for a kitty (+1). So Hubby and Meems can deal with the cats. Strike that from the list.

** I'm beginning to regret the boy-child knowing my cell#. I've had three calls updating me on what he is having for lunch.....

** Off to get my nails done! In my blue flipflops today. Funny about the flipflops and wearing them so much....It's June, school just got out - so it should be raining (this is Seattle) that's the norm for the first week or two of summer vacation around here. Has been since I was a kid( so you KNOW that's like forever LOL!) But the weather as been GREAT for weeks!! Mid 70's to MID 80's. Can't complain!!

** And speaking of flipflops - Fred Meyers had a sale on them this weekend. Regularly $4.99 and 30% off. Nice! Now I have them in EVERY color!

** You've probably heard the cleaning tip: "If you haven't worn it, used it or seen it in 6 months, toss it out" ...Works for all that paper cluttering up my countertops too!!
Just dumped it!! Yes, I looked at it, but for the most part it just got shredded! I figure, if it's been piled up for who know how long, it might as well go! Much better!!

** That's about it! Spent the rest of the weekend fiddling around on the computer. Getting up the smilies for the Diva Domain and playing around with my blog. Found somethings I want to add, but that will just have to wait. Owe the employer a couple of hours of actual work I guess. LOL!

** The screen saver I have at work is the DL pic from the OS with Phil doin' his kickboxing move. Every morning when I bring up my computer, the arrow ends up pointing right at the crack in Phil's ass... Interesting.

** What is so hard about following directions?? I work in the resolution dept in the loan processing center for a bank. And all I have done all week is clean up stupid people's messes!! It's right there in black and white folks, don't yell at me when your loan doesn't fund. I just clean up the shit, I don't make it!! GRRR!

** Amusing story told by hubby - Hubby asked me to pick up cans of Labatts, not bottles this time when I went grocery shopping. Seems he put a bottle in his hockey bag with the intent to partake in the tasty beverage after his hockey game. However, the top came off in his bag and he reeked of beer for the whole game. My thought... Serves you right and I bet you weren't the only one!

** This office has at any given time around 500 files floating around from dept to dept. And I actually found the one file I was hunting for!! Well, I've had my bit of luck for the day!

** There's this guy at work that has this ScoobyDoo laugh....DRIVES ME NUTS!! This week for some reason, it is REALLY, REALLY DRIVING ME CRAZY!

** Todd Bertuzzi (hockey) has been formally charged with assault for the attack on Steve Moore - Here we go again....

** That's it for today. Think I'll get some work done and head home. Thinking of tackling all the paper, envelopes, etc...That seems to be stacking up on all my available counter space. We'll see - Boog has his last hockey jamboree this weekend too, so it may be the last "hockey themed" weekend for awhile.

** Catching up on the Doc's blog - DANG!! I think I may have to print it all out and put it in novel form. GREAT read during lunch time! Since I haven't been around the DL community that long, it's been interesting to try and figure it all out. I DOOOO love a mystery!

Have to agree with the comments bouncing around about the "anonymous" posting. If YOU are going to insult someone, have the balls to show yourself. Your words don't mean much when your to afraid to insult "in person". Looks a lot like a child sticking out their tongue and yelling "neener, neener, neener!" and running away. Hmmm, like a child = childish...hmmm.

** I love South Park, I really do...

** Graham Norton's hair doesn't look so good...A little to bleached - I think it makes him look old.

** I'm in the doghouse, forgot to pick up the doughnuts for tomorrow morning... evil glares from family. Oh Well.

** What time is it in Ireland? No, not because of JTE, geez. My mom, brother and niece are there visiting... Need to figure out the time difference and call my brother EARLY and then play stupid. But then tell him it was all planned, 'cuz there is no way I'm letting my brother think I'm stupid... And that whole ramble didn't sound like I'm 12, uh?

Man, does tailbone hurt! (nice way to start a post, uh?) I was getting bored with my regular workout routine and thought I might jump on the pilates band wagon and give it a try. And I now remember why I stopped doing floor work.

So the last few days my tailbone as been sore, OK no big, I'll work through it. Got myself a towel and thought maybe a little more cushioning would help. Until I saw the blood - I had rub my tailbone raw! I just haven't got enough "natural" padding to protect my tailbone and certain floor exercise have always given my problems. Ironic when you think of all the "natural" padding I have elsewhere!

I think I stick it out and just not to the exercises that require you to roll/rock (Which are what does the damage). The rest of the routine seems to be working. DANG! I have some sore muscles!! LOL! Very low impact and other then the one flaw, you wouldn't think your doing anything. Until 2 days later and you thighs seize up on you when you try to get out of your chair!

I think I'll go for a walk and loosen things up a bit. I don't want to wake up tomorrow curled up in a ball and not able to get up!

Stuck on "perma-hold", might as well post something...

So I'm stuck on hold and thought I'd pass on a story. My daughter has a crush on this boy at school. Now, for once she took mom's advise and got herself stuck on a "hockey boy". Now, the reason behind this advise is quite simple; Dad said she wasn't allowed to date until she was 30, maybe. BUT, Dad and Bro are into hockey, and Dad and Bro know all those hockey boys, so you might have a better chance. And since it's a requirement to "dress for games" - You have the advantage of seeing which ones will look best dressed up for prom LOL!

Anyhoo - She has this crush on a boy at school who is a goalie, Meems favorite, for Seattle Junior Hockey. (he has long curly blonde hair that he shakes out when he takes off his mask, Ooooh Dreamy!) Since brother also plays for SJH, she happens to have all this SJH related gear (t-shirts, sweatshirts etc...)And she has been wearing these things through out the school year to get his attention. I know this 'cuz I called her on it and after turning beet red and a few eye-rolling "Mom!"s, she admitted it. So we come to the last week of school, yearbooks are out and she hasn't gotten him to sign it yet. So out comes the sweatshirt......

Now this is not just any sweatshirt, this is her special embroidered SJHA Admiral's logo/name and her name on the back, custom ordered sweatshirt she got for xmas. And it wasn't cheap! So, when I come home last night, I ask if she got him to sign her yearbook ...Nope. Her brother pops in and said everybody else did. "Oh, you got a lot of people signing your yearbook?", I asked. "No" says brother, "Her sweatshirt!" .......E*M*I*L*Y!!!.

Sure enough, everybody jumped on the band wagon and in lovely colored felt pens, signed Meems yearbook AND her sweatshirt. It's covered!! Oh Well, thinking about it - I would have done the same thing!LOL!! And I learned she has, yet another, nickname - "Waffle" Today's the last day of school and she's got one more try. It's been in the 80's around here for the last couple days, so I give her credit for the walking around in a sweatshirt. She's is determined. (Or crazy...)

Here's a thought, walk up and talk to him .... Nope that would be too easy! Words of Wisdom that won't be listen to, why should she? I never did!! Oh to be that young....

But, I'm not and I'm getting older sitting here STILL on hold and I should go. Have a GREAT day everyone!!

Spend 10 months diggin' a hole, it's bound to cave in on ya....

And so we come to the end of another school year... And since all the things Meems is involved with outside of school also revolve around the same time frame, this is the craziest time of the year around our house.

Saturday was the end of the year dance recital and piano recital. How nice that they both fell on the same day....NOT! So it's 2 hours of dress rehearsal for dance in the morning, come home and scrape off the stage make-up and head to the piano recital, back home to get the stage make-up back on and head out for the dance recital. After the kiss,kiss,hug,hug and flowers from brother, (he's so cute - he tries to be so cool and he always caves and wants to be the one to give her the flowers..)it was back home. Bed for the performer (another performance on Sunday - she had 4 numbers in each show this year.) And back out again for me.

Lars was playing again at Toby Maghee's and of course I had to go. I got there late and when I came in he calls from the stage "Karrie's here, NOW the party gets started!" And he launches in to "Wonderwall" Gotta love those "Yeah, I'm with the band" moments LOL! Party like a ROCKSTAR!!

So! The band recital and a hockey playoff game tonight, Kent's parents 50th wedding anniversary party on Friday and the rest of the weekend with the family coming in from out of town and THAT'S IT!! Summer vacation starts for us all. NOTHING, I do NOTHING for these next two months. That's the rule - Kent and I bust our butts during the school year and the summer is off limits!

OK - there is the 2 week family road trip to Colorado.....Oh man - that's only a month from now.....

There's stuff everywhere, and a lot of it has to do with Meems school project. But, since it had something to do with Def Leppard, it's hasn't been too hard to look at it lying around!LOL!

Playing catch up....

So, what's been going on since last Friday....Well Friday was a blast!! I wasn't the only one who caved and a lot of people showed up for Lars' show and a VERY good time was had by all! (Full on partying like ROCKSTARS!) But, that's not hard to do when Lars plays and it's at Fado, the two go hand in hand! I have to say the best part of the night was "bar rush" and we all headed over to Dick's drive-in. Sitting there @ 2:00am hanging off the back of the SUV, munching on a Dick's deluxe with over salted greasy fries!! Haven't done that in AGES!! It brought back some really good memories of days gone by. We used to always stop at Dick's on the way home from concerts back in the day...Like maybe a few Def Leppard shows...Mmmmmm GOOD TIMES!!

I was suppose to go out again on Saturday with my G/F Dede to celebrate our friend Rosie's B-day. But it seems Miss Rosie did a little too much celebrating the night before and wasn't up for round two. So after the hockey game (still sad..) it was over to Dede's and a couple of chick flicks - Nice thing about living in the same neighborhood, zipping over there in my PJ's (flannels, of course, this is Seattle) and curling up on the couch and finishing off the box of old fashion doughnuts. Dede thought they might be stale by morning and we really didn't want to waste them! LOL!

Not much else going on this week - Meems been tying up the computer at home for her latest project for school and I have been really busy at work, so now is really the first time I've been able to jot anything down... And yet all your life's still went on....AMAZING!!! LOL!!

Heavy Sigh.....

Bummed about Calgary not winning. I think I managed to jinx every team I rooted for this season. *Sigh*

But, to put a positive spin on it, I'm happy for Dave Andreychuk, 22 years in the league and he gets his cup. So good for him. And there are 19 Canadians on the team and so the cup will be spending a lot of time in Canada.

Other then that, Meems has yet another project for school so we've been working on that.

VOICE IS GONE SO.....

WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! Way to go Flames!! I screamed so loud after that goal in overtime I went hoarse. LOL! It was kinda funny since it was just me and Meems (Hockey games for both the boys) jumping around the house in our PJs, whoopin' it up!

Oh and speaking of Meems; babygirl got her first pre-approved card card letter in the mail, platinum even...Awwwwwww. Geez *insert rolling of the eyes here*

And I guess Friday night I'm going to "Party like a ROCKSTAR! The questions are flying around the cubies today; "Who's going Friday to see Lars play?... I wasn't going to, I had decided to just stay home. So there I sat in my cubie, keeping quiet and keeping my head down. "Karrie??....." I tried, I really did. Then Billie pops up and says "Karrie, You know you're coming!! Us girls gotta PARTY LIKE ROCKSTARS!" There's something about the way she says that! LOL!! Lars himself popping up from his cubicle and agreeing didn't help. When he went to the trouble of giving me a copy of the playlist so I wouldn't miss Wonderwall when I snuck out with Billie to have a smoke - I CAVED!! And I do love going to Fado's downtown. Theres just something about downtown, it's got this feel, ya know? Anyway - So I'll TRY to have fun....*Nod,nod - wink,wink*

Quick Hi!

Nice day around here today, everybody was home for once and mom was in the mood to go outside... AND TAKE ON THE FRONT FLOWER BEDS! Now, I don't AT ALL like that "gardening thing". Some of you do and that's great ... For you. So when mom decides today's the day - today is the day for EVERYONE. Ok, except Meems, it was her birthday and more importantly, she had homework. LOL!

So the front of the house is spiffed up, and my hands are cramping up from pulling weeds, so I'm outta here!
