Man, it's been busy around here! As usual.

But around the chaos, there have been some nice family moments. Stocking up on those, since I'll be gone so much this summer! Portland, Surrey BC, VEGAS, Baby!! and the Canadian road trip for DL in August. I'm hoping to squeeze in one more *fingers crossed*

Had to get through Hubby's birthday. The girl-child's birthday is coming up on June 2nd. I needed to get ready for the Portland DL show. Meem's student/teacher/parent conference is the day of the concert, so Hubby as to handle that himself.

But, they both got new Gizmos and Gadgets for their B-days so they've had their faces in front of the computer playing around, I doubt they'll even know I'm gone.

Of course we have had fabulous weather the last week. Upper 80's and not a cloud in the sky....until today. So, of course it will rain the day of the concert. Perfect!!

But super news on the DL front for the shows in Canada me and some of the gals will be hitting..... Just call us the "3rd Row Girls"! We all got 3rd row tickets for Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna and Vancouver! So that week in August is going to be a BLAST!

We'll better scoot out of here. I'm trying to get out a little early to start my drive to Portland before the traffic get really ugly.

Kim, I got a new camera this weekend. I might be able to get a shot or two for ya.

I really am more of a "hands on" kind of gal.... Keep the smut to yourselves people, I can just see the smirks!!! But honestly, 3 hours sitting in a meeting discussing a processing change on the computer that takes place on Monday. Just let me be pleasantly surprised and get back to my life!! Grrrrrr!

Although I have managed to be surprised a few too many times this week. Monday night it was the girl-child popping up to say she needed to be at school an hour early to catch the bus for "BandFest"....... uh? Totally missed that memo! And then as I was dropping the boy-child off this morning, he jumps out of the car telling me he gets to play an instrument at the choir concert tomorrow night. Again, where was I?! I really think my mind is elsewhere..... Birthday parties, DL concert, concert, concert, concert, and concert (yep, so far I think I might be hitting at least 5) and VEGAS, VEGAS, VEGAS BABY!!!

Raccoon Update.....

He's fine. Poor thing had a cut on his leg, so they got him to the vet. Raccoon is back in his natural habitat, as are the roaming engineers! LOL!

And I think that's all for now. Monday is always so crazy! So here's this.....

So Hubby has supplied the photo of they day.....

Appears they had a raccoon trapped in the building this morning and had it cornered in the managers office while they waiting for the trapper dude to come get it.

Bunch of engineers can get a jumbo jet in the air.... But go all "Griswold's Family Xmas" (the squirrel in the xmas tree...) when they get live critters in the cubies! LOL!

Well, I hope everyone had a Happy Mother's day. We had our traditional early dinner @ Anthony's with Hubby's parents.

And I went thru my traditional scramble to find something for the girl child to wear. It never fails. The girl wears nothing but the standard jeans/sweatshirt that every other clone at her school wears and she's grown out of her "dress her up and take her out" clothes. And of course every year I refuse to do anything about it, thinking it's Mother's day, the "Better Half" *snort* or the girl herself will think of this prior to the morning of Mother's day. Of course not. So I hold on until the AM and then ask the question, get the blank looks, grab the car keys and hit the store. I know, it's my own fault. But every year I try.

But once we were properly attired, dinner was well worth it. I love Anthony's. It sits on the waterfront and has a lovely view of Puget Sound. You can sit and chat, have a great meal and watch the ferries going back and forth from the islands. After dinner it's time to take a walk along the pier. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, it's VERY Pacific Northwest. Hehe.
