Hi!

Well as you might have guessed - I'm back. Well at least for a while. Next up Chicago. Wait, make that La Crosse, Wi AND Chicago. Aren't Jules and I gluttons for punishment?! But how could I not take advantage of spending some more time with my favorite travel/concert pal!! Okay she's my favorite pal - period. Girl, I'm sooooo ready!! *psst* Kim, can't wait to hook up with you and Jess too!

A little bit about this trip. Fun and tiring(not just physically but mentally). But what a ride! I'm so glad I got a chance to visit my favorite Canadian city - Calgary! And I felt right at home with all the rain. *snort* Yeah, you can imagine the hair issues. It was great to meet Patty's sister and I was so glad to be there for her first DL concert. She rocked the house and did us proud!

Kelowna is another of my favorite places. We skipped the rain and the weather was beautiful. Joe had mentioned they had taken a boat ride on the lake during their day off and I can see why. The boy-child had hockey camp in Penticton, which is at the south end of the lake. So during the bands day off I headed down to visit with the family. Patty joined me and got to say hi to her birthday sista, Em.

Off to Vancouver and barely got to town in time for the show. We headed out from Kelowna without a place to stay in Vancouver and thanks to Tammy for finding a hotel for us. Just happen to have a hotel advert. on the back of her ticket and got us great rooms. I've never really been a big fan of Vancouver, so I didn't mind it being a short trip. Bittersweet too, it was the end of the road for us. Rhonda, I'm so very, very glad we got to do this! Not seeing each other since 2003 was too long. I loved our Kelowna late night talks! And a big THANK YOU to Patty for all her hospitality while in Edmonton and Calgary. I know I really appreciated it and thank you for everything! *hope you feel better*

One bright spot of the Vancouver show was the chance to meet up with my buddy Dimas( thanks Bud for buying me a couple of my new favorite concert drink......VEXX!!) He took some pics at the show and shared them with me. And I think I'll share a few with you. Although I think I'll be posting most over at
The Domain. We've been discussing (ok, lusting...) about our favorites and I thought I'd taunt them with some good ones. (Rhonda - He got some VERY nice pics of the Viv/Phil and Viv/Sav combos....get over there in the next few days!)

I know it's not much, but my partners in crime - Rhonda Elizabeth and Patty - will, as usual, have great stories to tell.

I'm admitting defeat. I'm throwing in the towel.....

I'm just not going to be able to post anymore about the great Mid-West Adventure. Time is running out and I have to get ready for yet another trip!! So I'm just going to move on. Jules has been great about keeping everyone up to date, so we'll just leave it at that. Thanks Jules!

So next up - The great Canadian Adventure!!

And then......Chicago!! Yep, a bonus adventure with Jules!!

So I'm off..... Lot's to do!!

What a summer……

Back in early spring it appeared the summer was shaping up to be a relaxing time of the year. A chance to catch one’s breath and re-charge after the hectic school year. Boy, I should have had my head examined back then! What was I thinking?!

From June 1st ‘till now it’s been quite a ride. The first DL show in Portland, the wedding in VEGAS and then the great mid-west road trip! It’s no wonder that the family and the co-workers have a look of surprise on their faces when they actually see me around!

I haven’t been around here or anywhere “net” wise in a while. I’ve been working on a little project closer to home, namely myself. A little birdie told me I was up for a promotion and office politics being what they are, I spent the last few weeks playing “the game”. The official announcement was made the Friday before heading off on my next adventure and I am now the head of my department within our department. (Does that make sense? Anyway, I’m running around like a crazy person, what’s new?) So with this new responsibility, my first move is to up and leave for a week;

The great mid-west adventure: Well things couldn’t have started off on a more relaxed and happier note! The hubby decided to take the kidlets camping up in our beautiful mountains the weekend I was leaving, so I had a nice quiet Friday and Saturday to get things in order. And then at 10:00pm Saturday night, I decided to check my flight status for my departing flight @ 6:00 am. And right out the window goes the relaxed part of my weekend! Seems the airlines had to do a crew change on my 6:00am flight, which meant missing my connecting flight in Denver. Needless to say, after spending the better part of the night scrambling around trying to get my flights figured out, I was dead tired, frustrated and ended up with a flight that got me to my destination 5 ½ hours later then anticipated. The biggest let down being the fact I missed my opportunity to meet the little “DIT”, Emilee. (That’s my nickname for the 2 “Ems” – Divas In Training.) And then of course my luggage - *sigh* One of the reasons I so dislike connecting flights is the chance your luggage doesn’t connect. And true to form, this is what happen. I made it to Kansas City, the most important “Bag of Products” (essential to all Divas) did not…..*sigh* an hour later it arrived. Could have been worse I guess, but it pretty much blew any chances of making it to Davenport.

On to Lincoln! And more on that later…….
