Stuck on "perma-hold", might as well post something...

So I'm stuck on hold and thought I'd pass on a story. My daughter has a crush on this boy at school. Now, for once she took mom's advise and got herself stuck on a "hockey boy". Now, the reason behind this advise is quite simple; Dad said she wasn't allowed to date until she was 30, maybe. BUT, Dad and Bro are into hockey, and Dad and Bro know all those hockey boys, so you might have a better chance. And since it's a requirement to "dress for games" - You have the advantage of seeing which ones will look best dressed up for prom LOL!

Anyhoo - She has this crush on a boy at school who is a goalie, Meems favorite, for Seattle Junior Hockey. (he has long curly blonde hair that he shakes out when he takes off his mask, Ooooh Dreamy!) Since brother also plays for SJH, she happens to have all this SJH related gear (t-shirts, sweatshirts etc...)And she has been wearing these things through out the school year to get his attention. I know this 'cuz I called her on it and after turning beet red and a few eye-rolling "Mom!"s, she admitted it. So we come to the last week of school, yearbooks are out and she hasn't gotten him to sign it yet. So out comes the sweatshirt......

Now this is not just any sweatshirt, this is her special embroidered SJHA Admiral's logo/name and her name on the back, custom ordered sweatshirt she got for xmas. And it wasn't cheap! So, when I come home last night, I ask if she got him to sign her yearbook ...Nope. Her brother pops in and said everybody else did. "Oh, you got a lot of people signing your yearbook?", I asked. "No" says brother, "Her sweatshirt!" .......E*M*I*L*Y!!!.

Sure enough, everybody jumped on the band wagon and in lovely colored felt pens, signed Meems yearbook AND her sweatshirt. It's covered!! Oh Well, thinking about it - I would have done the same thing!LOL!! And I learned she has, yet another, nickname - "Waffle" Today's the last day of school and she's got one more try. It's been in the 80's around here for the last couple days, so I give her credit for the walking around in a sweatshirt. She's is determined. (Or crazy...)

Here's a thought, walk up and talk to him .... Nope that would be too easy! Words of Wisdom that won't be listen to, why should she? I never did!! Oh to be that young....

But, I'm not and I'm getting older sitting here STILL on hold and I should go. Have a GREAT day everyone!!
