Happy Halloween~!!

Well my Halloween celebrating started this weekend with Dede’s annual party. Miss Jules, you were represented once again. But due to a snafu on my part, I didn’t get pics. Some were taken by others; I’ll have to round up one. Yes, I had a screamin’ busy Saturday that had me up at the crack of dawn (after a very late night at Dede’s finishing up the decorating) and decided to have a bit of a lie down before the festivities. I crashed big time and woke up ½ an hour before the party. Not good! So things were a bit frantic and I forgot my camera. Good time though as usual!

Part of my costume was actually from the Seattle Opera. Last weekend Dede and I went to the Seattle Opera’s costume sale. I don’t know how well this will turn out; I took it with my phone.

The sale started at 10:00am, we got there at 9:30 and we are about 500 people back (and people, I am not used to being that far back in line!) It made the local news, by 10:00 am it was around the block and snaking its way up Denny, which is a major downtown street. It took 3 hours to get in…..for nothing. It had been picked clean. But there were some interesting pieces we picked up to use later and I found the shoes I needed for my costume this year. We actually had fun, we stood in line with these two gentlemen who had us rollin’ with stories (the impromptu thong party on the houseboat that got weird(?) when the duck hunters showed up….RIOT!!).

Anyhoo, kids have their costumes too. Glenn will be super original and go has Scream. BUT, he sez his is different ‘cuz his is the bloody scream mask and he’s wearing a wig….VERY original (I think he looks adorable, but I’ll never tell him that and spoil it). Basically he and the rest of the neighbor boys are going to race through the neighborhood and then head over to Dede’s to scare the little Princesses and Buzz Light-years’ into wetting their pull-ups by jumping up from behind the headstones in the front yard.

Em and her friends are going witches. Again, very original! But each girl picked out a different kind of witch. After pouting over the fact Laura got to be the “Rock Witch”, Em picked the “Goth Witch”. Of course I couldn’t pass up the chance to mention that she had the raccoon eyes down (she's in “that phase”), for which I got the look and we moved on. She looks adorable too, but mums the word.

So Halloween is almost done. November 2nd will be Boodge’s birthday, so this weekend will be his “thang”, then Dede and I are taking Meems to the DL concert on Tuesday, the 8th and then it’s all about MOI!! Vegas, Vegas, Vegas! But, I need to focus on the rest first. So I must be off!

BTW - Had a pumpkin decorating contest at work. Here's what my team did, ON THEIR OWN! I didn't come up with the idea, but I guess I did inspire it.

Happy Birthday to Moi!!!

Ok, normally I wouldn't even bring it up. But looky what my team did to my cubie at work!! *Sniff, Sniff* and T-Birds colors too!

I thought I would add a pic of the sign I had to put outside my cubie. When they started to advertise DL was coming to the Event Center, everyone has been coming up and asking me if I knew and was I going....... Yeah - DUH!!!! At the bottom it sez "Yes, I'm going!"
