Sometimes it sucks being the Mom……
We’ve had snow off and on over the last few weeks, just a few flakes and a light dusting that melted before you could say “Ooooooh, how pretty!”. But yesterday and last night we got over an inch! (you in the east of here pipe down!) Unfortunately it didn’t stick to the roads and cause the driving hassle that cause those school delays.
Poor me (she said sarcastically). After watching the news this morning it became clear that there would be no “snow day”. Awwwwww *snort* One look out the window told me that, but I did the official Mom thing and checked the ticker. And so it was with a heavy heart that I went to wake up the children..... *sigh* ............ AND YELLED:
“Hey kids wake up! There’s still snow, but guess what?! Schools open!! One more day of learning!! Isn’t that great?!! Yeah!! School Rocks!!!”
If only I had thought ahead and set up the video camera to capture their adorable faces has they came out of their rooms… Just precious!! *snicker*
Have a good weekend! They're predicting snow here this weekend!
